| | Posted: July 14, 2010 7:00 PM | | | | Best just to use your best judgement. If there is a barcode on the cover and you're not sure, try googling the number (no gaps) and see what comes up.
Obvious pointers are: factory-pressed discs have undersides that are generally silver or gold in colour; the region mentioned on the cover doesn't match the part of the world it came from; the cover is in a language that doesn't match where it came from (though be careful as especially Hong Kong releases will be bilingual anyway).
Personally I'd rather have a possible dodgy release in the online rather than play safe and risk not having a genuine release in there, but others may disagree. |

The database now require a valid UPC or EAN number in that all addition is available, 99.95% of the UPC numbers are in the database, more codes and release dates are added often and updated to full list.
