| Posted: | | | | Hi! Does anybody here have an idea what's wrong with this UPC? 9200702000030 DVD Profiler doesn't accept it and I am hence not allowed to contribute this profile. |

| Posted: | | | | Sure can...
1) it's an illegally malformed code because the checksum bit is wrong. If the first 12 digits are
920070200003
the final checksum digit should be a 7
2) 92 is not a legal code to start an EAN (90 & 91 are Austria and 93 is Australia; there is no 92 in use AFAIK)
This indicates IMO it was totally made up and is a pirate release
BTW technically it's an EAN (13 digits) ... possibly a JAN (exactly the same thing) not a UPC (12) | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | I searched on google and the DVD in question is on sale via sites like HKFlix, so I'm guessing rather than it being a pirate, it's more likely just a bad barcoding job! Try contributing using the Disc ID instead. |
