| Posted: | | | | Is it advisable to repeat disc info on the box set, or is that only for the child entries? If so, how can you use the Location entry for the box set? | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | Interesting quandry, you're not supposed to have any disc info attached to a box set profile. However, you are right, you can't add a location without it.
In this case what I would suggest is adding the info of the first disc to the parent profile, but keep this change local. That way you've got a place to put your location info without affecting the online db.
Sound ok? |

Per the Box Set Rules: "Do not include any Disc IDs on the main profile - these are listed on each of the individual profiles" That does eliminate yoru use of Locations unless you follow northbloke's advice. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

| Posted: | | | | I have been following northbloke's advice even before he gave it. Many boxsets had Disc ID's anyway, and for those that didn't I use "box" as a fake ID. I just need to remember to do so after uploading, and to remove it in case of any future additions (mostly scans, where I don't always read the text part carefully). I also need to repair after downloads. Not an elegant solution, but then I think the location issue is one of the few that could have been handled better (like episode lists in a separate window ). | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | Hi Hans you should be able to lock "disc information" and that way it won't be affected by any other updates of the profile - as that bit's meant to be empty anyway! | | | Last edited: by northbloke |
