| Posted: | | | | I corrected an existing title in the database from "Seal Team 8: Behind Enemy Lines" to "Behind Enemy Lines: Seal Team 8" to match the front cover artwork (I included link at bottom of artwork. The artwork it self says "Behind Enemy Lines: Seal Team 8" with the "Seal Team 8" listed as the subtitle. This is shown on the front cover and spine. I received a no vote stating "Look at the UPC. Current data is correct." It does say in small writing in the UPC box "Seal Team 8: Behind Enemy Lines". The rules clearly state that title should be taken from the FRONT COVER, but I just want to make sure this is correct https://dvdcover.com/seal-team-eight-behind-enemy-lines-2014-r1/ | | | Never judge a movie by its sequel or remake | | | Last edited: by cronosmantas |

| Posted: | | | | That's an interesting one and the fact they decided to put it below. I'd say the "Below Enemy Lines" was intended to be a subtitle since the font is much smaller than the "Seal Team 8". |

| Posted: | | | | I am the "no" vote.
I believe that the current data is correct because it does match the front cover. I suggested the UPC be looked at since it confirms what the title should me imho.
I can not find my copy of this film or I would triple check the title against the credits. |

| Posted: | | | | One could argue the order but even on the front cover the "SEAL Team Eight" is bigger than "Behind Enemy Lines", giving it preference and with the title screenshot, I'd go with SEAL Team Eight: Behind Enemy Lines As for the "SEAL" because it's an abbreviation and not a word SEAL = Sea, Air & Land | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | If we go by font size on the front cover, it would be "The Heretic: Exorcist II" and Shout Factory's blu-ray release of Friday the 13th Part VI would be "Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI". If we go by this unwritten rule that the the font size on the cover comes first, then we will be changing a number of sequel titles with the subtitle that comes first. Also, if we go by what the title card reads, then we would also be changing a LOT of titles. Title card for Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning only reads "Friday the 13th: A New Beginning" as there is no "Part V" on the title card. We should follow the written rules that the title should match the front cover of the artwork. | | | Never judge a movie by its sequel or remake | | | Last edited: by cronosmantas |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting cronosmantas: Quote: We should follow the written rules that the title should match the front cover of the artwork. Then the title should obviously be Tom Sizemore: Behind Enemy Lines: SEAL Team 8: The Fight for Freedom Never Ends, since that's what's actually on the front cover. Oh, but you say that's not all part of the title, because you've looked at the title block on the back cover and at the title screen in the credits. But they both say SEAL Team Eight: Behind Enemy Lines. What to do... what to do...? --------------- |

| Posted: | | | | This is an issue with the Prison Break special as well. DVD Profiler has it as both Prison Break: The Final Break and The Final Break: Prison Break. |

It is very likely the case that the people who actually author the media that you judge, are far less focused on rules and consistency than you are. They are not getting it wrong - they just don't care! | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |
