I do agree that the rolling eye's icon is often used in a negative manner here. And honestly have thought about requesting the very same thing here because of it. But I agree with some of the others that have posted here in that, it really is the users using it negatively rather than the icon itself being bad.

This is quite unfortunate.  The problem, yet again, is perspective.  Very few users actually know the history.  The mods know zero about the history.  While I know some of it, I know I don't have the whole story.  If the users, or the mods, knew the little I did know, I honestly believe they would have a different opinion and would be making different posts.

That is the main reason I have been trying to stay out of those threads.  How do you respond to someone who's post only makes sense if you are ignorant of the facts, without revealing the facts that aren't yours to reveal?
